Fat Maddie's Pesto Chicken Sandwich

Meet Maddie

Named for our family’s favorite goat, FAT MADDIE’S rustic menu incorporates local, sustainable, and organic ingredients. The family is committed to serving only free-range and antibiotic free chicken as well as hormone and antibiotic free beef. FAT MADDIE’S eggs come from chickens on the family’s personal working farm and food waste is recycled to pigs on a neighboring ranch. As for the goat cheese, let’s just say that Maddie has her sources.

Our Family and The Farm

Born and raised in The San Francisco East Bay with Greek ancestry, the Stephanos family has been in the Bay Area restaurant business for 3 decades. The family ran Ernie's Seafood in San Leandro for 32 years before opening FAT MADDIE’S Grille here in San Ramon. While we love seafood (we have some great dishes at Fat Maddies), we've been working our own family farm on the outskirts of Tassajara and wanted to share that experience through our menu. We had been looking for the right opportunity to open a new location and share the quality and freshness of many of our own ingredients with our friends, family and guests here in The Tri-Valley.

That's exactly what you'll find here - Farm-inspired, fresh, seasonal, locally sourced, delicious food. Add in a fine selection of local wine and craft beer and you've got yourself the perfect place to grab a bite to eat.
